EXPANSION AND REFURBISHMENT OF THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OF JOÃO PESSOA

Execution of the civil works and of the installations (electric, hydraulic, automation and HVAC) for the restoration and expansion of the International Airport of João Pessoa – Presidente Castro Pinto. 

Land Side: 
Refurbishment and expansion of the TPS building, aiming at improving the operations in the Passengers Terminal, by means of boarding bridges to improve the flow of passengers, enlargement of commercial areas. Adaptations in the road system in the vicinity of the TPS. Readaptation and construction of technical buildings: construction of the Utilities Central (UC), in order to make it compatible with the new cold water cooling system, new wastewater treatment plant, new substation and new water supply system and new change rooms. 

Air Side: 
Interventions in the areas adjacent to the runway and runway strip, in order to improve drainage and macro-drainage of the airport grounds. Setting of new RESAS (runway end safety areas) in the runway thresholds 16 and 34 of the levelling runway of the prepared lane, thus ensuring operational safety Setting of a new TAXIWAY, given the reconstruction of Aprons 01 and 02 and the expansion of Apron 02 for aircraft code 3C, together with new service ways . Improvement interventions in Apron 02. With the interventions and reconstruction the airport increases to 8 the number of positions. Adaptation of the existing light marking of the whole runway and taxiway to a new geometry, aside from the necessary actions to comply with the Airport Exploitation Plan – AEP, with the installation of the new PAPI (Precision approach path indicator). Finally the improvement of the access ways in general and of the grounds delimitation features (fencing).
