The residential project “Fábrica 1921”, promoted and built by the Teixeira Duarte Group, was the winner of the “City of Lisbon” category of the National Urban Rehabilitation Prize (PNRU) 2023, in an award ceremony that took place on the 30th of May, at the Palácio Nacional da Ajuda.

In this 11th edition of the PNRU, 67 projects from mainland Portugal and Madeira competed, with nine projects being distinguished in 10 different categories.

The National Prize for Urban Rehabilitation is an initiative by Vida Imobiliária and Promevi, which «aims to distinguish urban interventions of greater value to society in their multiple valences. The contribution to the qualification of cities and their impact on the community, success measured by market acceptance, impact and social value, the ability to induce change in the urban fabric.»

The recognition of “Fábrica 1921” in the context of interventions that most contributed to the urban qualification of Lisbon, and in particular of the Benfica neighbourhood, brings special pride to all the teams that, with enthusiasm and hard work, participated in the project in all its phases.
