On 1 June, the public presentation session of the Construction Foundation took place, in a ceremony held at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, attended by the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Eng. Miguel Pinto Luz.

As founding members, the Construction Foundation brings together the Portuguese Engineers’ Association (Ordem dos Engenheiros), the Portuguese Architects’ Association (Ordem dos Arquitetos), the Portuguese Economists’ Association (Ordem dos Economistas), and 14 leading companies from the construction and projects sector in Portugal, including Teixeira Duarte – Engenharia e Construções.

This initiative, which unites the public and private sectors as well as professional associations, aims to promote and deepen knowledge of the Portuguese construction sector, strengthen its recognition, foster innovation, and contribute to:
– Free and fair competition;
– Support for decision-making on major strategic choices;
– The creation of wealth, employment, and social well-being;
– The country’s growth and prosperity;
– A better collective future.

At the event, representing Teixeira Duarte, were Manuel Maria Teixeira Duarte, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Gustavo Villas‑Boas Lebreiro, Member of the Board of Directors, who participated in a thematic panel discussing “The real capacity of Portuguese architecture and engineering in the national and international markets and the future | Competitiveness of national companies.”
