REMODELLING OF RIO DE MOURO HALT

Location: Rio de Mouro – Sintra – Portugal
Execution Period: 26 Months
Work integrated in the remodelling of existing railway infrastructures in the Railway line of Sintra and whose object was the remodelling / construction of Rio de Mouro halt, with a length of approximately 1.600 meters (between Pk 19+400 and Pk 21+000), including the execution of:
An underground station with an underpass for urban traffic (at km 20.720) and a pedestrian underpass at Pk 20+480, north-west of the station. Both underpasses required the suspension of the track;
Execution of the passengers’ quay in both tracks, with 69 m of useful width and a length of 220 m;
Execution of a full coverage of the station , with a length of 240 m, an useful width of 19,20 m, with no intermediate support points in its inner area, composed of a set of 13 metallic hoofs with opaque and translucent precast parts positioned longitudinally aligned with the track.
Execution of the road – railway interface with the parking lot for 6 buses, sheltered by a cover with metallic structure with a length of approximately 83 meters and a width of 64 meters and a car park with capacity for 340 cars.
