BRIDGE OVER CANAL DA BARRA LINE 4 – RIO DE JANEIRO METRO

Execution Period:  8 months

Execution of bored piles with pin in rock for Pontee foundation. These piles were
performed with the use of the vibrocavation of lost metal shirts in the stretch in soil
and execution of the pin in rock with “Multihammer”:
-46 piles of 1400 mm with rock pin (Gnaisse) of 5 m-1,400 m;
-9 piles of 1000 mm with rock pin (Gnaisse) of 5 m – 100 m;
-6 piles of 800 mm with rock pin (Gnaisse) of 3 m – 250 m;
Driving of provisional metal piles for support shuttering of the bridge deck:
– 46 metal piles of 800 mm-380 m.
Soil treatment with Jet-grouting: – JG columns of 1000 mm – 2,000 m.
