World Environment Day was celebrated on June 5th, the main objective of which is to raise awareness in society about the importance of preserving natural resources, encouraging governments, companies and citizens to focus their efforts on pressing environmental issues.
In 2026, the theme chosen by the UN was “Act Now for the Climate,” emphasizing the urgent need to prevent and address the consequences of global warming that have a direct impact on people’s lives: rising average temperatures, rising sea levels, severe weather events, and loss of biodiversity, among others.
With a corporate culture that integrates environmental protection into its daily practices and project development, several companies within the Group have mobilized teams to promote awareness initiatives that reinforce the importance of “building with a conscience.” In this context, emphasis was placed on the need to adopt practices focused on the circular economy, energy efficiency, and the use of renewable energy, encouraging responsible choices in everyday life—on construction sites, in the office, at home, and on the street.
Teixeira Duarte – Engenharia e Construções has also joined the UN global campaign, registering its participation on the initiative’s official website.
