MODERNISATION OF THE RAILWAY LINE OF THE EAST SECTION ELVAS (INCLUSIVE) / FRONTIER

The contract job consisted of the execution of works for the modernisation of the Railway Line of the East, section Elvas (inclusive) / Frontier, with approximately 11 km, between Elvas station (inclusive) and the frontier with Spain, including the alteration of the layout of Elvas station, to allow for the manoeuvring and crossing 750 meters long trains, heightening of the station passengers platforms, execution of signage and telecommunications cable trays, for the installation of new signage, implementation of the traction current return system, earthing system and protections (RCT+TP), replacement of Caia and Caiola bridges, as well as the removal of 4 level crossings.
