REHABILITATION OF THE NACALA HARBOUR

Location: Nacala – Mozambique
Conclusion Year: 2015

The contract job objective was the rehabilitation of the Eastern zone of the Northern pier of the Nacala Harbour.
The contract job consisted of 4 main scopes:

  1. Rehabilitation of the containers pier (190 ml), including demolitions, dredging, sheet-pile driving, earthworks, buried services, execution of a new crown beam, paving, installation of bollards and fenders;
  2. Rehabilitation of the fuel pier (120 ml), including demolitions, dredging, sheet-pile driving, earthworks, buried services, execution of a new crown beam, paving, installation of bollards, fenders and fuel supply cranes;
  3. Rehabilitation of an area of 12 000 m2 for the layout of a new containers terminal, including demolitions, earthworks, reinforced concrete, buried services and paving;
  4. Execution of a new firefighting system, including the construction of a seawater intake.

Steel rod: 600 ton
