Construction of plot 32 of the housing development and of mixed use designated “Fábrica 1921” The project rehabilitated the former “Fábrica de Têxteis Simões & Cª Lda.”, an icon of the neighbourhood, maintaining parts of the historic façade to create a premium segment residential development, with external areas which incorporate gardens, a children playground, a leisure area, a common swimming pool in the roof, a fitness academy and lounges with a view to the forest park of Monsanto. The historic façade was profoundly rehabilitated, respecting the original drawing, in order to preserve the metric of the spans and its decorative elements. It is worth mentioning the harmony between the lower floors adjacent to the existing façade of the Fábrica and the uppers floors of the newly built volume. The project also includes the construction of a new public library and a commercial area, which are integrated in the structure of the historic building.
The development is composed of 162 apartments with typology ranging from T1 to T4.
