A41 – BRIDGE OVER RIVER SOUSA I

Construction of the bridge over river Sousa I;  a bridge with a length of 310 meters executed using the successive launching method, with 3 spans: two free spans of 90 meters and a free span of 130 meters, with a maximum height of 100 meters measured from the average water level of river Sousa.

Deck surface (4.873 m3 of reinforced concrete): 10.447 m² 
Steel A 500 NR: 1.750 tons 
High resistance steel for the prestress: 515 tons 
Formwork: 39.100 m² 
Concrete: 18.780 m³ 
Trestles and falsework: 15.000 m³
