\/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: <span class=\"fontstyle0\">Vila Real &#8211; Portugal<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Conclusion Year<\/strong>: 2016<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The contract comprised a set of studies \/ projects and works that enabled the completion, together with the adjoining contracts, of the interconnection and commissioning of the whole A4 motorway.<br \/>\nIn addition to the predominantly underground works, which completed the two one-way passages, each about 5.7 km in length, section type 107 m2, 9.80 m height, 11.4 m wide, 6.55 m radius and 13 emergency cross-passages, the Active Safety Equipment and Systems should be highlighted for their complexity and importance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Activities \/ Works \/ Systems:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completion of the excavation of the tunnels and emergency passages;<\/li>\n<li>Waterproofing and final lining inside the tunnels;<\/li>\n<li>Instrumentation and observing systems;<\/li>\n<li>Drainage networks;<\/li>\n<li>Technical road channel;<\/li>\n<li>Sidewalks;<\/li>\n<li>Fire doors in the emergency passages;<\/li>\n<li>Paving of the tunnels, portals and accesses;<\/li>\n<li>Signalling and safety equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Active safety equipment and systems:\n<ul>\n<li>Automation and technical management;<\/li>\n<li>Ventilation and smoke control;<\/li>\n<li>Gravitational firefighting network;<\/li>\n<li>Lighting;<\/li>\n<li>Signs and information for users;<\/li>\n<li>Sensors and automatic detection;<\/li>\n<li>Traffic management and supervision;<\/li>\n<li>Communications;<\/li>\n<li>Support and intervention in the event of emergencies;<\/li>\n<li>Technical buildings (3 un) \u2013 one of which is the control
