Teixeira Duarte participated in the 15th Steel and Composite Construction Congress<\/a> promoted by Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Portuguesa de Constru\u00e7\u00e3o Met\u00e1lica e Mista (CMM)<\/a> on 20 and 21 November in Porto. The event, which was attended by 800 participants, had as its main objective to disseminate the latest innovations and achievements in this type of construction, seeking to contribute decisively to the promotion, consolidation and expansion of the sector.<\/p>\n

The 1st Facade Engineering Congress was also held as part of this edition.<\/p>\n

Teixeira Duarte was present as a sponsor and participated in various parts of the programme.<\/p>\n

Administrator Miguel Talone took part in one of the first sessions \u2013 \u2018Economy Session\u2019 \u2013 to present Teixeira Duarte’s vision for the future of metallurgy.<\/p>\n

Noteworthy technical and scientific contributions include the submission of articles and presentations on the rehabilitation of the Herc\u00edlio Luz Bridge, on special metal stirrups for reinforcing and rehabilitating existing bridge foundations, and on the rehabilitation and structural reinforcement of critical industrial infrastructure based on BIM methodology: efficiency, safety and performance in ATEX environments.<\/p>\n

The case study of the Herc\u00edlio Luz Bridge in Florian\u00f3polis (Brazil) was also highlighted in an article published by Jornal Econ\u00f3mico: \u2018How Portugal’s Teixeira Duarte rehabilitated a 100-year-old bridge in Brazil<\/a>\u2019. Almost a century old, this historic bridge underwent extensive and demanding work carried out by Teixeira Duarte over a period of more than three years.<\/p>\n

Participating in a conference of this magnitude, which showcases the best in the sector, reinforces Teixeira Duarte’s commitment to engineering and building solutions that make an impact, preserve heritage and strengthen communities.<\/p>\n
