{"id":13742,"date":"2019-12-31T12:50:57","date_gmt":"2019-12-31T12:50:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teixeiraduarteconstrucao.com\/?p=13742"},"modified":"2019-12-31T12:50:57","modified_gmt":"2019-12-31T12:50:57","slug":"hercilio-luz-bridge-reopens-to-the-public-28-years-later","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teixeiraduarteconstrucao.com\/en\/hercilio-luz-bridge-reopens-to-the-public-28-years-later\/","title":{"rendered":"Herc\u00edlio Luz Bridge reopens to the public 28 years later"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a result of a structural rehabilitation work carried out by Teixeira Duarte &#8211; Engenharia e Constru\u00e7\u00f5es, S.A., the Herc\u00edlio Luz Bridge reconnected the mainland and the island of Florian\u00f3polis from this Monday, December 30th.<\/p>\n<p>This bridge, inaugurated in 1926 and interdicted in 1991, underwent a complete rehabilitation process, which included the replacement of the structural bearing of the main towers, the reinforcement and rehabilitation of foundations, the rehabilitation of the steel structure, the replacement of eye bars, cells and swing bolts, including load transfer work, and the application of new road, pedestrian and cycle decks.<\/p>\n<p>28 years later, the Herc\u00edlio Luz Bridge reopens to the public, following a phased schedule of vehicle traffic clearance in the structure, <a href=\"https:\/\/mobilidadefloripa.com.br\/operacao-de-trafego-na-ponte-hercilio-luz-e-divulgada\/\">disclosed<\/a> and supervised by the Florian\u00f3polis City Hall.<\/p>\n<p>The reopening ceremony began at 10 am on Monday and features commemorative events until next Sunday, January 5, including several musical and cultural attractions.
